Media Communication Lab
The Media Communication Laboratory (MCL) at Korea Aerospace University was established in 2007 by Prof. Jae-Gon Kim.
The MCLab is dedicated to research on video coding and video signal processing with application areas of immersive (6DoF) video, realistic video, and digital broadcasting media.
Our current research activities focus on the following areas
Video Coding Standards (HEVC/H.265, VVC/H.266, Post VVC)
MPEG Immersive Video (MIV)
MPEG Video Coding for Machine (VCM)
Neural Network based Video Coding (NNVC)
